Qatar – Iran Match Prediction | 14-09-2019 10:00

The closing match of the AFC Asian Cup eight-finals is going to be contested between Qatar and Iraq. Almoez Ali and the lads boosted up their confidence and they want to go as far as possible in this competition. They were better than Vietnam, Yemen and Saudi Arabia in the battle for the top spot. Qatar are in a fairly decent form as they managed to celebrate five times in the last seven matches. The hosts of the next FIFA World Cup were pretty confident in the group stage as they booked all three wins.

As the war ended, Iran sided with Qatar during the dispute with Bahrain over the Fasht a-Dibal Islands. However Qatar did not support Iran when it came to the three islands, Lesser and Greater Tunbs and Abu Musa, instead supporting the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Iran and Qatar prior and during the Iranian Revolution[edit]

Sardar Azmoun has certainly caught the eye of a fair number of club with his play at Rostov this season, leading many to speculate that'd he be moving to one of Europe's truly elite sides before much longer. The 22 year old already has 16 goals in just 22 caps, which is one of the most impressive strike rates for a young player in international football. He's playing so well that's he keeping other high scorers out of the line up on many occasions, in fact!

It is expected to be an uphill task in the third round as they have to battle it out against top Asian sides like South Korea, Iran, Uzbekistan, China and Syria for a top three finish to progress to the next round. While Qatar surprisingly top their group ahead of China. They won in 7 of their 8 matches, with a loss in their trip to China on the final match day.

Leading up to the Iranian Revolution in 1979, Qatar and Iran shared a friendly relationship. This was exemplified by the support of the government of Qatar and Sheikh Khalifah for the monarchy of Iran, stating that Iran is a dear and friendly neighbour with which we are united by the brotherhood of Islam.[citation needed] The desire to keep up friendly relations was motivated by Iran's status as a military and economic powerhouse as well as interests with OPEC.

Qatar have defended very well up until this point, but theyve not faced a side of Iraqs quality. The Iraqis showed enough in the groups to suggest that they can cause even the better sides at this tournament problems, though we also saw (against Vietnam) that theyre not too sharp at the back. All things considered, BTTS looks a solid option. Both Qatar and Ira have offered plenty going forward, so it would be no surprise if they both netted on this occasion. In the betting, Both Teams to Score, which has yielded a profit in each of the last four renewals of this fixture, stands out.

Defensively, in terms of resistance, Al-Annabi have looked reasonably sturdy, while theyve also done a very good job of preventing their opponents from creating much. That said, where theyve really impressed is at the back. In scoring ten goals, Qatar have looked useful in the final third; theyve looked good in possession, have created chances and have had absolutely no problem applying the finishing touches. As touched on above, theyve not played the highest calibre of opposition, but at least theyve given themselves a solid base from which to build. As things stand, only Iran have conceded less expected goals, which essentially tells us that Qatar have made it very hard for teams to forge scoring opportunities against them.

During the Qatar diplomatic crisis, Iran provided diplomatic and economic support to Qatar.[16] On June 5, the day that the crisis erupted, Iran asked the Arab nations to settle their dispute through dialogue.[17] After Saudi Arabia and its Persian Gulf allies blocked Qatar economically, Iran sent food supplies, amounting to 1,100 tons of fruit and vegetables and 66 tons of beef, to Qatar on a daily basis.[18] On 25 June, Iranian president Rouhani denounced the "siege" on Qatar, and in a phone call with sheikh Tamim, said that "Tehran will stand by Qatar's government".

Qatar vs Iran Prediction & Betting Tips

The two countries have a close economic relationship which affects their diplomatic relations, particularly in the oil and gas industries. Iran and Qatar jointly control the world's largest natural gas field.[2] Qatar has 13% of the world's total proven gas reserves. A big portion of Qatar's oil comes from a field that is related to Iran.

Flix Snchez Bas men come into this first knockout match having won three out of three at this tournament, while theyve scored ten goals and have conceded none in the process. Such numbers are certainly encouraging. Qatar didnt have the toughest group to emerge from, though they must be given credit for getting the job done with minimal fuss.

They won seven points in their group but finished at the 2nd spot due to weaker goal difference in compare to Iran. Srecko Katanecs side is playing very disciplined football and they managed to raise the level of performances significantly. Iraq are also performing very well lately as they havent lost seven times in a row. Iraq are also going to search for their chance of proceeding to the next stage and we should expect to see a very interesting clash.

They are treading lightly on both sides in pursuance of their own self-interests. Qatar has a difficult time when it comes to maintaining a good sustainable relationship with Iran, as well as adopting the policies set by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) towards it.

Although the field is jointly owned, there is an uneven distribution in natural gas extraction. The world's largest natural gas field, called North Field (Qatar) and South Pars (Iran) is between the boundaries of Qatar and Iran. Namely, Qatar extracts about three times as much natural gas from the field as Iran does and continues to grow its extraction. The gas field covers 97,000 square km with the majority (about two-thirds) lying in Qatari waters.
